Baseball is at its best when each team plays hard through-and-through, regardless of what's at stake, purely for the love of the great game. The Boulder 14ers joined the Mile High Collegiate Baseball League for the first time this season after several years in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League. While it was the other Boulder team that ultimately clinched the league title, the 14ers made themselves known as a force in the league, something they will look to continue to do in the future. By Ben Rossi Just one night after Denver Colorado was the center of the baseball universe, hosting the annual midsummer classic, the community of Pueblo Colorado gathered for an eventful night of baseball. Pueblo, a town located hours south of Denver, hosted their seventh annual $1 beer night.   This event drew a large crowd to Hobbs Field at the legendary Runyon Sports Complex. The Boulder 14ers and Colorado Lumberjacks were both looking to rebound after recent doubleheader sweeps. This would be a crucial game between the second and third place teams in the league as starting pitchers Terry Straber and Conner Cuminsky went head-to-head. Both games of Thursday's doubleheader between the Colorado Cannons and Colorado Lumberjacks presented this.
