The Denver Generals had their sights set on turning their season around as they hosted the Fort Collins Bandits, a team who had already beaten them twice this season by scores of 15-2 and 7-3. Offensive powerhouses Thunder Academy and the Colorado Lumberjacks went head-to-head in what was expected to be a thrilling set of two game seven innings doubleheaders under warm, but windy, conditions at Rock Canyon High School. DENVER ­— After doing due diligence, the Mile High Collegiate Baseball League has decided to cancel its 10th anniversary season, slated to start today (May 26). “The potential risks, lack of fields and government restrictions have caused far too many unknowns for us to move forward with a viable season,” league owner Amanda Kubec stated. “This decision was not made lightly. DENVER — After due diligence, the MHCBL has announced today the league will move to a 20 game season due to the COVID-19 crisis. The league will kick off its 10th anniversary season on June 15, 2020. This summer, the league will celebrate its 10th anniversary with 11 teams from Fort Collins, down Interstate 25, to Pueblo.
