LITTLETON — The Colorado Khaos hung on to defeat the Denver Generals 6-3 on Thursday evening at Littleton High School in both team’s season openers.

The Generals (0-1) hopped on the Khaos (1-0) in the second inning, via a homerun from Jack Paterson.

Colorado struck in the bottom of the fourth inning, piling on three runs, and another in the sixth.

Denver answered in the seventh inning with two runs, to slash the Khaos’s lead to just one run.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Colorado added two insurance runs.

Blake Macintosh (3 IP, 3 K’s) earned the victory for the Kaos. Nate Mallot (2-4) led Colorado offensively, while Chase Anderson (1-3, RBI) contributed in the victory.

Will Gifford (1.2 IP) dropped the contest for Denver. Jack Paterson (2-4, RBI) led the Generals attack.

Colorado travels to Johnstown to play Greely on Monday for a doubleheader, while Denver will play Thunder Academy at Legacy High School on Saturday.
